This is Warriors Rest. It is a beach that my mother went to paint at alot in her life. She was a very spiritually connected person and found great peace here at this extremely private and secluded place. It gets its name from the Indian trible that resided here for so many decades. On the point it is said that there is an Indian barrial ground that is untouched. She would go here and create some of the most beautiful paintings. This painting was created by me from one of her photographs. It is a place that I have never visited in waking hours, but is the place that I most often speak to her in my dreams. When I came across this photo I was startled because I had a dream where her and I were talking on a large piece of drift wood and though I never had been there I knew we were at Warriors Rest. Many months later I was looking for a picture to take to my nephews art class to work on and I ran across this photo that was exactly what I had dreamed. I was compelled to paint this picture...so here it is. If you are interested in any of my other works or pricing on this one check out hannahmanges.com
